Job Description and Duties:

The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments is seeking a Career Coach for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth and Adult/Dislocated Worker Program which serves Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg Counties.  Position is based out of Conway. The objectives of the Youth Coaches are to help WIOA program-eligible In-School and Out-of-School Youth through WIOA services and/or referrals to include case management, work readiness, basic education/learning skills, mentoring, and career counseling. The objectives of the Adult/Dislocated Worker Career Coaches are to help WIOA program-eligible job seekers through WIOA services and/or referrals to include case management, work readiness, intensive training services, mentoring, career counseling, soft skills training and job preparation assistance.

Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sociology, Counseling, Human Services or Psychology and/or 3-5 years of professional experience that demonstrates knowledge of job development and human services programs. Candidates with substantial WIOA case management experience, a strong background in working with clients, and the ability to interpret and follow WIOA guidelines and program policy and procedures are preferred.  WRCOG is an EOE.

Job Description and Duties:

The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments (WRCOG) is seeking a Planner. This position is multi-faceted and will include work in land use, transportation, GIS, community technical assistance, CDBG, and HOME and/or other related planning functions. This position may assume significant responsibilities for projects in one or more of the planning department’s program areas. This position reports to the Planning Director.

The WRCOG offices are located in the historic City of Georgetown, which is on the coast of South Carolina just south of Myrtle Beach and north of Charleston. WRCOG is a regional agency serving county governments, municipalities, and the citizens of Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg counties in South Carolina and Brunswick County in North Carolina. Qualifications:
A successful applicant must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field supplemented by one to three years of relevant work experience or a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related field. The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments (WRCOG) is seeking a Transportation Program Manager. This position has the primary responsibility for coordinating the day to day administration of the bi-state Grand Strand Area Transportation Study Metropolitan Planning Organization (GSATS)(Myrtle Beach-Socastee SC/NC MPO). Responsibilities also include participation in long and short range planning, work plan development, and financial management of the transportation program, with programmatic responsibilities in North Carolina and South Carolina.
