Incumbent Worker Training Assistance (IWT) Application Available
The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments announces the availability of Incumbent Worker Training Assistance (IWT) under provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The purpose of the IWT Program is to assist employers with training currently employed workers to keep businesses and workers competitive. Private Sector South Carolina Employers/Business Consortiums located in the counties of Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg and in need of training for incumbent workers due to expansion and changing skill requirements caused by new technology, retooling, new product lines, and new organizational restructuring may be eligible for IWT assistance.

Applications for IWT assistance must be submitted to Kim McCutchen at kmccutchen@wrcog.org by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022.

RFPs will be ranked as follows: Experience and Philosophy (40 points), Approach (60 points). The Administrative Entity for the Waccamaw Workforce Development Board, the Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments, is requesting proposals for Title I Adult and Dislocated Worker Services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (hereafter “WIOA”) of 2014 for the time period July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
The Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA) comprised of Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties is requesting Proposals for Title I Youth Services as authorized under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. RFPs will be ranked as follows: Program Proposal Synopsis (10 points), Experience, Organizational Capacity and Past Performance (25 points), Program Methodology (20 points), Partnerships and Innovation (10 points), Outreach (10 points), Budget and Financial Information (25 points).
