Senior Medicare Patrol Project

WRCOG is looking for a “just do it” individual to help spearhead outreach and education for our Senior Medicare Patrol Project that educates seniors about Medicare and Health care fraud. We want your firm handshake, persuasive tongue and about ten hours of your time per month! Training is provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed!

Volunteer Ombudsman

Sixty percent of the residents in long term care have no visitors. Volunteer Ombudsmans are special people who make a significant contribution. Through their efforts, they improve the quality of life for many seniors in our state. Volunteer Ombudsmans go to facilities on a regular basis to greet, visit with residents, and help educate residents and families on residents rights.

Volunteer Drivers Needed!

Most disabled and older adults want to live on their own for as long as possible, and we don’t think they should have to move to assisted living just because they are no longer able to drive. That’s where YOU come in. As a volunteer driver, you help seniors and disabled adults get to where they need to go: medical appointments, grocery stores, banks, human service agencies, social activities and more.

As a volunteer with the Assisted Rides Program, you are in the driver’s seat. You pick the rides you want to give. This is one of the most flexible and rewarding volunteer opportunities available. You can make a life changing difference for seniors and disabled adults who want to live independently.
