  • CDBG Round – South Carolina Department of Commerce recently announced the CDBG funding round.
  • Workforce Success Story – WIOA is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training and support.
  • WRCOG Transportation Department – Alexis DiMarzo, a Junior at CCU, completed her internship at WRCOG.
  • Murrells Inlet wetland – Georgetown County Stormwater Division assisted with the wetland construction.
  • Waccamaw Regional Council on Aging – 2017 Medicare Open Enrollment Evaluation.
  • MTP Update – 2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) update has been approved.

Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments is an agency that offers regional programming and governmental services in Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties of northeastern South Carolina. Created by the state legislature in the late 1960’s, its mission is to support local governments in the region and develop effective partnerships that foster efficient transportation systems, economic and workforce development and allow the region’s seniors to age in place.
