Waccamaw Workforce Development Area Re-Designation

Waccamaw Workforce Development Area Re-Designation

The Waccamaw Workforce Development Board and the Chief Elected Officials of Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties are in the process of completing a petition to be re-designated as a workforce development area under the provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This petition will be made to the Governor of the State of South Carolina, based on the area’s history of successful performance and sustained fiscal integrity as an existing workforce area in the State of South Carolina.

The public is invited to review the local area designation requirements at www.waccamawworks.org. Click on “News and Events” then “Re-designation Documents” to access the requirements. Comments should be submitted to Ayla Dyer at adyer@wrcog.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

WIOA is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aides and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
