Public Hearing Notice
This is to inform the public of the opportunity to attend a public hearing on the proposed FY 2016-2017 Section 5310 (Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program) Application to be submitted to the South Carolina Department of Transportation no later than June 30, 2016.
Those interested in attending a public hearing on this application should contact Kim Harmon, Aging Director in writing on or before June 24, 2016. The public hearing will be held on June 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments. The contact address is 1230 Highmarket Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
The Transportation Program provides assistance for transportation option and services for the communities operating in the Waccamaw region. These services are currently being provided using volunteers with the Waccamaw Assisted Rides program.
The total estimated amount requested for the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017:
Mobility Management Total Federal: $40,000 Minimum Local Match: $10,000
This application may be inspected at Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments from June 15th – June 30th. Written comments should be directed to Kim Harmon before June 30, 2016.
