Upcoming SHIP Training
The SHIP Program (State Health Insurance Program) will hold a training open to the public beginning in March. The dates and times are as follows:
March 24: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
March 31: 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
April 7: 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
April 14: 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
April 21: 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The training will be held at Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments in the large conference room, 1230 Highmarket St. Georgetown, S.C. 29440. The Medicare Specialist, Kayla Ives, is seeking volunteers to help with the SHIP (State Health Insurance Program) and the SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) programs. These programs counsel Medicare beneficiaries and report Medicare fraud.

January 27, 2015 HOME Consortium Funding Application Workshop – POSTPONED
The HOME Consortium Funding Application Workshop scheduled for January 27, 2015 has been postponed. The rescheduled date and time will be posted soon. Staff will be available on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 to provide technical assistance to housing partners and to answer general questions about the agency’s HOME Program.
